In this paper, six estimators of finite population variance under stratified random sampling have been proposed. The expression for Mean Squared Errors (MSEs) of the proposed estimators was derived up to a first order approximation using the Taylor’s series expansion. The empirical study was conducted to compare the efficiency of the proposed estimators and the results revealed that the proposed estimators are more efficient than the other estimators considered in the study
