The AstroSAT/UVIT survey of M31 has observed the central part of M31 in FUV at different epochs, allowing a search for FUV variables. Here we report the detection of >100 variables (at >5-sigma confidence) and >1000 variables (at >3-sigma confidence). Counterparts are found for most of the >5-sigma variables. Most of the counterparts are young massive stars or stellar clusters. Results on the nature of the counterparts will be presented
