This article analyzes the structure of the optical communication network of a small city and considers the integration of traditional telephone networks with new generation converged networks during its modernization. This allows users to meet the needs of modern telecommunications services and create highly reliable communication networks. It involves the use of PON (Passive Optical Network) technology.
