V. Summary. The article analyzes the influence of the personal profile on the quality of life of infertile patients of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) cycles. 237 women aged 25-44 years were examined, of which 103 were patients of the ART, and 134 were fertile. To assess the personal profile of the patients, the Freiburg personal questionnaire was used, and to assess the quality of life, the questionnaire SF-36 was used. It has been established that prolonged infertility with unsuccessful treatment attempts is a specific chronic psycho-traumatic situation, which determines the formation of characteristic personality features and a peculiar system of psychological protection. Thus, such personal derminants as neuroticism, depressiveness and emotional lability not only impair the quality of life, but also are a risk factor for the negative outcome of ART. Correction of the psychological condition of patients with ART cycles can be a reserve for increasing the effectiveness of infertility treatment.
