Lung cancer is a diagnosis that has risen to the top of the global cancer death toll. Adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma are all types of non-small cell lung cancer. This exercise examines the diagnosis and treatment of non-small cell lung cancer and emphasizes the importance of the interprofessional team inpatient care. This review article aims to: review the etiology of non-small cell lung cancer, describe the appropriate steps for non-small cell lung cancer evaluation, outline non-small cell lung cancer management options, and summarize the importance of collaboration and communication among the interprofessional team to improve care coordination for non-small cell lung cancer patients.
