Abstract: The Journey of foreign policy in independent India had begun before India’s independence, when The Asian relation conference took place in New Delhi in March – April 1947. It was hosted by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who was then de facto Prime Minister of the provisional Government preparing for India’s independence. From India’s Independence till now, there have been six significant changes to India’s foreign policies.
