Constructivism -a approach in education

This is a conceptual paper that includes the principles of constructivism, the types and characteristics of constructivism, the role of teachers, and how constructivism can help in education. Constructivism is based on learning methods that shape and build much of what the learner has learned or understood. Constructivism is a fairly heterogeneous idea, as it invents our own knowledge, concepts, and ideas, coupled with what we already know. This means that knowledge is built by the learner through an active mental development process. Learners are builders and responders of importance and knowledge.
