The European political developments of the interwar years have been in the focus of many historical studies. That is understandable, because these events had a major impact not only on European nations but on the whole world. However, most of the scholarly work deals with the relations among Western Powers and to a certain extent neglects the role of small nations in the interwar years. In this paper I make an attempt to highlight some aspects of the relations between a Great Power – Great Britain, and one of the smallest states in Europe – Albania.
