Inheritance rights of cohabitants

It is well known that the cohabitants in Russia are not among the heirs at law in regard to another. This work is devoted to the analysis of legal norms of the Russian law applied to persons who are not in a registered marriage with each other. The article deals with the experience of regulation of hereditary relationships cohabitants overseas. To resolve the problem of inheritance property deceased cohabitant survived ones propose a variant of legal regulation of hereditary relationships cohabitants, acceptable to the Russian legal system. In particular, considered the possibility of recognition of cohabitants in the event of prolonged cohabitation (over 3 years) the heirs of the first stage with respect to each other
