The aims were to provide data to help inform policy decisions about vaping e-cigarettes and legalizing cannabis, and to estimate if there is a sufficient number of current vapers in Auckland with limited smoking history, making them eligible to enrol in a proposed VERITAS cohort study. Our survey results suggested that a nicotine e-liquid flavor ban would primarily drive vapers to seek/make unregulated nicotine liquids, as has been found in similar research elsewhere. There is a substantial black market in cannabinoid vaping products in NZ.
