E-COMMERCE IN METAVERSE AS A NEW VIRTUAL WORLD

The world of the 'metaverse', which emerged in the light of developments in coordination with communication technologies, brings many question marks with it. Among the technological developments that were effective in the formation of the metaverse world; There are many fields such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and each is used in different applications. The contribution of organizations such as Apple, Samsung and Google to the formation of the metaverse also causes the issue to occupy a large place on the national and international agenda. E-commerce applications offered by the internet, which have become a part of people's daily activities and even go beyond this, are considered as a new alternative for many people. As a result of the development of this information, the concept of metaverse, which we have started to hear frequently, gives users; It offers the opportunity to meet, talk and engage in activities with other users who are physically far away. In this study, the concepts that play an active role in the formation of the concept of metaverse; Web 3.0, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies were tried to be explained and the relationship between each other was determined. At the same time, the phenomenon of e-commerce / online commerce was examined through the concepts explained. The aim of the study is to convey the national/international developments that have become very popular in recent years and to evaluate the different alternatives created by the new technologies emerging in this context
