How Shareholders influenced the Corporate Governance

The study aimed to investigate the impact of shareholders engagement on corporate governance in Pakistan. Current research studies the shareholders participation as executive director, in management, for their rights, in AGM and the BOD meetings. The study is significant for investor, policy maker, shareholders and the people who want to purchase the any stock first time. Empirical data has been collected through administrating a questionnaire and techniques of Correlation and Linear regression model are used to investigate whether corporate governance is affected by the shareholders engagement. The study concluded that the shareholders engagement as executive director, in management and participation for their rights have direct impact on corporate governance while shareholders engagement in AGM and in BOD meetings have no impact according to data collected from financial institutions of Pakista
