Social Media: Sharing Our Lives On The Virtual Platform

The project on "DH Methods" was completed for the Digital Humanities Master's course under the guidance of Sree Ganesh. The information age has brought about significant changes to our lives, societies, and cultural practices, offering both benefits and challenges. One of the most versatile and transformative technologies of this age is social media, which has become an integral part of our daily lives. Social media has facilitated our social connections, enabling us to communicate and interact with people from all over the world digitally. It has also become a popular platform for businesses to advertise their content and for users of all ages to create and share content. Our reliance on technology has grown to a point where we can hardly imagine our lives without it. Social media, in particular, has intensified our interconnectedness to one another. It has also become a reflection of the current culture, with users creating and sharing content that represents their digital identity. Social media provides us with social incentives, fulfilling our psychological needs and creating a virtual world that seems to be a closed box for modern people
