Bat Fleas of the Philippines, with New Distribution Records from Bohol and Balabac Islands (Siphonaptera: Ceratophylloidea: Ischnopsyllidae)

Ischnopsyllidae is a highly specialized family consisting of species exclusively ectoparasitic on bats. The Philippine bat flea fauna currently comprises two subfamilies, three genera and four species. Our study presents the new distribution records from Bohol Island and Balabac Island, as well as the first overview of the natural history and distribution of known ischnopsyllid fleas in the Philippines
