Special Features of the Professional Skills Training of Students in Art Institutions of Higher Education

The purpose of the article is to find out the special features of the professional training of students in art institutions of higher education in the context of reform, which directly affects the future of art education in Ukraine. The research methodology includes general scientific theoretical methods of analysis, synthesis, and abstraction, which made it possible to study the special features of the professional training of students in art higher education institutions and to rethink their role and place both in the educational system and in society as a whole. The scientific novelty of the research is determined by the comprehension of the theoretical and practical features of the professional training of students in art institutions of higher education, which is associated with the approval of higher education standards in cultural and artistic specialities and compliance with international standards while preserving fundamental artistic domestic traditions. Conclusions. The article demonstrates that during the professional training of students in art institutions of higher education it is necessary to take into account social changes, advancement of science, their role and place in the educational system, or vice versa — destructive transformations in society and its institutions, which also affect the formation of the conscious and the subconscious of students and teachers. It is revealed that pedagogical innovations in cultural and artistic educational processes (self-educational, research, administrative, psychological, etc.) are essential to the professional training of students in art institutions of higher education. The essence of these processes is primarily to change the student’s attitude to the learning process and understanding of his place in the art industry. Student’s independent studying is important for their professional training, which, as a special form of educational activity, requires self-improvement, broadening of the outlook, knowledge enhancement, planning, etc., since it is the student’s interest in a certain speciality that encourages his desire for the mastering of the professional skills
