In this paper, we were able to model and simulate mutual exclusion algorithms using an SMA approach. Mutual exclusion is one of the fundamental paradigms of distributed systems to ensure consistent access to resources shared between several entities in the system. It ensures that not more than one entity can run a shared resource, called the critical section (security property) and that any request for access to the critical section will be satisfied within a finite time (liveliness property).
