The deliverable presents the work to provide execution environments for workflows developed within the BioExcel 2 period. The first section introduces the concept of workflow environments in the BioExcel Project, providing the context of the work done in the previous BioExcel 1 grant period and presents the current ecosystem around the BioExcel Cloud Portal. The second section presents the Cloud Portal in more detail together with VM-based environments for workflows that are available in the portal. Different flavours of virtual machines (VMs) are presented, including BioExcel 1 pre-built VMs and dynamically built machines for Common Workflow language (CWL) and Jupyter Notebook execution.
