I investigate the observational biases inherent in exoplanet transit surveys and explain the methodology for calculating the planet occurrence rate from a transit survey. I present calculations of the Jupiter type planet occurrence rate around 3 subsets of the Kepler target stars 1)The M Dwarfs 2) The Solar Type (G,K) Stars 3)The High Mass (O,B,A,F) stars. We are unable to provide accurate occurrence rates for the M Dwarfs or the very high mass (O,B) stars due to a prohibitively low number of planet candidate host stars in these populations.
