Muruga Worship in Sangha Literature

ABSTRACT: Although there are various religions in the society, their purpose is to make people live morally. Servants who have devotion to God have composed many books promoting God’s faith. Palantamil literature has given importance not only to love and heroism but also to worship and especially to Muruga worship. They confirm that Muruga worship has been in existence since ancient times in Tamil Nadu. It also reveals that Muruga worship was intertwined with Palandamizhar life. This study reveals that Murugan was regarded as the supreme god of the Tamils and that Palandamili literature took the name of Murugan and his glory and splendor as its subject matter in several places
