This comparative report focuses on circular and temporary migration schemes of four Member States of the European Union (EU): Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland. It focuses on the agricultural sector that was affected heavily by the outbreak of COVID-19. The study provides an on-the-ground perspective with semi-structured interviews with local stakeholders in the sector. Its main objective is to explore the policies and their implementation. The impact of a global pandemic on seasonal workers employed in the agricultural sector was worrying.
