The excessive animal rearing necessary to supply the world’s demand for meat negatively affects the entire environment, public health, animal genetic variety, and the general economy. Animal feces releases methane, nitrous oxide, and carbon dioxide, whereas ruminants produce methane through enteric fermentation.
