A Study on Planning and Decision Making Ability of Rural Women Entrepreneurs in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu

The study was conducted to know the planning and decision making behavior of rural women entrepreneurs in Dindigul district. The women in the district are engaged in various kinds of economic activities which gradually empower them in different aspects. The planning and decision making abilities are the prominent qualities of an entrepreneur. The entrepreneurial activities of the women are con ned to the local area and development of enterprises is largely in uenced by age. The study revealed that the income activity available in the local area is not directly related to the age of the respondents. Moreover, the relationship between advice from experts and experience person for planning the economic activities and are non-existed. The planning ability of the respondents is not in uence by the age. The educational quali cation and adoption of new enterprises of the women respondents’ shows negative relationship. Therefore, the study suggested that the well-de ned training and practices of success strategies of experts are the solution to overcome the initial problems of women entrepreneurs
