Hemielimaea (Hemielimaea) parva Liu, Wang et Ma, sp. nov. Fig. 1 a–g Holotype. Male. China: Guangxi Prov., Longzhou, Sanlian, 350m, 1999. VI. 14, Coll. Zhu Caodong (IZCAS). Description. Male. Stridulatory vein 2.7 mm long (Fig. 1 a), shorter than greatest width of pronotal disc in posterior area (3.0 mm). Stridulatory vein on underside of left tegmen with about 350 densely arranged narrow teeth, which becoming smaller from centre to both ends (Fig. 1 c). Mirror of right tegmen slightly wider than longer (2.0 against 1.7 mm); distance between proximal heavily sclerotized vein and apex of mirror 2.2 mm; maximal width of dorsal tegminal part behind mirror 1.7 mm (Fig. 1 b). Epiproct approximately rectangular, longer than wide (Fig. 1 d). Cerci 3.5 mm long (Fig. 1 d), with straight, rounded basal quarter, remaining basal quarter slightly descending and slightly narrowed mediad; curved mediad in apical half, slightly swollen in apical 5 / 6 part, and then gradually narrowed forming a cone with acute tip. Subgenital plate curved in an about 30 ° angle (Fig. 1g); upcurved area with slightly contracted lateral margins, apical half with a distinct narrow angular notch and slightly deviating apex (Fig. 1 e). Basal 1 / 3 part of phallic complex tubercular; short, stout, bifurcate sclerite in apical 2 / 3 part with sinuate, serrate dorsal margin (Fig. 1 f); similar to those of other species in the subgenus Hemielimaea. Female unknown. Measurements of male (mm). Length of body with wings: 51.0; length of body without wings: 30.0; length of pronotum: 5.1; length of tegmen: 38.5; tegmen width: 5.3; length of hind wing: 44.0; length of hind femur: 25.1. Coloration. Bluish green, with contrasting dark brown markings. Face with frons, genae, and mandibles yellow. Compound eyes dark brown. Vertex dark brown, with yellow fastigium and a pair of yellow lateral lines which is lying behind fastigium and deviating backward. Base of antennae with dark brown exterior margin and medium brown interior margin. Remainder of antennae missing. Disc of pronotum brown, with dark brown stripes along lateral and posterior margins. Lateral lobes of pronotum yellow. Tegmen bluish green with arrangement of dark brown dots in cells; anterior margin and all of the dorsal area including stridulatory vein on dorsal side of left tegmen dark brown; base of M+Cu with a blackish brown stripe; mirror on right tegmen transparent. Legs brown, except apex of femora, apex of tibiae and all tarsi blackish brown, spines black. Abdominal tergites dark brown. Epiproct yellowish brown. Cerci dark brown with exception of basal half of ventral surface. Subgenital plate yellowish except dark brown lateral margins and upcurved apex. Discussion. The new species is distinguished from other congeners in the structure of male subgenital plate. It resembles in H. reducta and H. mannhardti in the length of male stridulatory vein; but differs from them by the shape of male mirror and male phallic complex, and from the latter by the moderately projecting inner margin of male stridulatory apparatus. It resembles in H. vietnamensis by the shape of the male phallic complex, but distinctly differs by the male stridulatory apparatus. Etymology. Named for the small male stridulatory apparatus. Paratype. 1 male, China: Guangxi Prov., Jinxiu, Dayaoshan, 1982. VI. 12, Coll. Li Fashen (CAU). Description. Male. Stridulatory vein 4.0 mm long (Fig. 1 h), slightly longer than greatest width of pronotal disc in posterior area (3.5 mm). Stridulatory vein on underside of left tegmen with about 300 densely arranged narrow teeth, which becoming smaller from centre to both ends (Fig. 1 j). Mirror of right tegmen longer than wide (3.0 against 2.5 mm); distance between proximal heavily sclerotized vein and apex of mirror 3.8 mm; maximal width of dorsal tegminal part behind mirror 2.8 mm (Fig. 1 i). Epiproct approximately rectangular, longer than wide (Fig. 1 l). Cerci 6.0 mm long (Fig. 1 l), with straight, rounded basal 1 / 6 part, remaining basal 2 / 6 part slightly descending and slightly narrowed mediad; curved mediad in apical half, slightly swollen in apical 5 / 6 part, and then gradually narrowed forming a cone with acute tip. Subgenital plate curved in an about 80 ° angle (Fig. 1 m); upcurved area with slightly contracted lateral margins, apical half with a distinct narrow angular notch and distinctly deviating apex (Fig. 1 k). Basal 1 / 6 part of phallic complex tubercular; long, stout, bifurcate sclerite in apical 5 / 6 part with sinuate, serrate dorsal margin (Fig. 1 f); similar to those of other species in the subgenus Hemielimaea. Coloration. Yellow (probably green when alive) and with contrasting dark brown markings. Frons, genae, and mandibles yellow, compound eyes medium brown, vertex dark brown. Antennae dark brown with very sparse whitish annulations. Pronotum with disc dark brown with blackish lateral and posterior margins; lateral lobes yellow. Tegmen yellow with arrangement of dark brown dots in cells; the dorsal area excluding stridulatory vein and secondary vein on dorsal side of left tegmen dark brown; base of M+Cu with a blackish brown stroke; mirror on right tegmen transparent. Legs yellowish brown with exception of blackish brown tarsus and ventral spines. Abdominal tergites dark brown. Cerci yellow with blackish apical tooth. Apical area of subgenital plate dark brown. Female unknown. Measurements of male (mm). Length of body with wings: male 55.0; length of body without wings: male 22.0; length of pronotum: male 5.5; length of tegmen: male 40.0; tegmen width: male 7.0; length of hind wing: male 51.0; length of hind femur: male 27.1. Discussion. The new species resembles H. mannhardti in the length of male stridulatory vein; and the distal part of male subgenital plate curved in 80 °angle, but differs by the moderately projecting inner margin of male stridulatory area and total number of stridulatory file. It also resembles H. omeishanica in the shape of male stridulatory vein, but differs by the shape of mirror and details of male phallic complex. It also resembles H. caricerata in the shape of male cerci and of male subgenital plate, but distinctly differs by the male stridulatory apparatus and male phallic complex. Etymology.
