Isla de Cedros (Ramírez-Valdez et al. 2015); southern tip of Baja California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to Peru (Bussing 1998), including Gulf of California and Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997) and Isla del Cocos.
