This is a list of twenty-five suggestions of research relevant to understanding how to apply the FAIR principles for software. These should be read in conjunction with the list of references presented in the paper Towards FAIR Principles for Research Software. This list includes research published after Towards FAIR Principles for Research Software, or address gaps from disciplines missed in the paper. The suggestions were collected as part of a survey to understand what makes software FAIR / un-FAIR, as well as understanding how the FAIR principles for software should be defined. This work is part of Subroup 4 of the RDA/ReSA/FORCE11 FAIR for Research Software (FAIR4RS) Working Group. Thanks go to everyone who contributed suggestions
