About 90% of the world's population is exposed to air pollutants beyond the limits of the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended. Several studies have shown the drastic impact of air pollution on the eyes. In addition to these short-term effects, air pollution can also affect eyesight. Recently studies have linked air pollution exposure with the risk of glaucoma.
