Pulsars are strongly magnetised neutron stars where their fast rotation powers the acceleration of particles in the magnetosphere and the emission of beamed radiation from the radio to the gamma rays. One of the hottest topics in pulsar astrophysics is whether the emission at different energies originates from different population of particles, with different energy distributions, in different sites of the magnetosphere, and whether this affects their complex multi-wavelength spectra. It is clear that a full multi-wavelength coverage is essential to address such issues.
