The problem of demonstration of narrator's self-identificaton in l. Andreyev's and M. Haretsky's epistolaries

The article deals with the narrator’s self-identification in L. Andreyev’s (1871-1919) and M. Haretsky’s (1893-1938) epistolary texts are investigated in the comparative aspect. The goal of the work is to determine forms of representation of the narrator’s self-identification in the letters and its specificity in L. Andreyev’s and M. Haretsky’s epistolary texts. Material of the research is the texts of L. Andreev's letters (for M. Gorky, N.A. Chukmaldina), the texts of M. Haretsky's letters (for E.F. Karsky, L.U. Haretskaya, parents), which reflect the aspect of self-identity most vividly. use Comparative and cultural-historical methods are used in the work. Scientific novelty is connected with the fact, that comparative studies on the works of L. Andreev and M. Haretsky absent as well as study of the epistolaries of L. Andreev and M. Haretsky are absent, too, and the problem of self-identification in prose of both Russian and Belarusian authors are not studied. The forms of manifestation of the obstructed identity in L. Andreev’s and M. Haretsky’s letters were revealed, the direction of individual’s self-identification in the texts of letters was defined. In the epistolary of the Russian author, self-identification is demonstrated through the extensive use of expressive means, function of reflection and mask. In the letters of the Belarusian writer, the narrowness and conciseness of the narrative play has a greater role in the reflection of self-identification. In Andreev's letters, the concept of individualistic existence is traced, it is connected with the aspiration of personality to deny, in opposition to this idea, there is coexistence of the person with other people and the aspiration to accept life in Haretsky’s letters
