STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHING MUSIC ART FOR TEN GRADE-SOCIAL DICIPLINARY CLASS-3 AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL-STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL-SMA NEGERI 2 AMBON

This article developed to propose research proposals at the subsequent phase of undergraduate degrees, art-music education department, and faculty of arts Christianity, at the Christian State Institute of Ambon, as legitimate requirements from the ultimate level of undergraduate degrees nationally in Indonesia. The research background experienced by the classical lens retain on the learning process in Indonesia throughout general as well as on art-music subjects, first the insufficiency of teachers qualified to teach such subjects and second the absence of teachers with subject-specific expertise, which prevents teachers from carrying out their professional duties. To further the aim of the study proposal to study whether students perceive the instruction of art music in tenth grade-social discipline at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon, Bahasa implemented as the language of proposal development. The research question was what do students perceive about arts-music teaching in this grade? Then, what do students perceive of art-music teachers? Moreover, what do students perceive of teaching materials and the evaluation process in the course of art music lessons?
