Water is termed as an elixir of life. It is one of the most important components to human survival. Water quality performs important role for all living beings. Waterborne diseases are very important in India due to high levels of biological contamination of water. Annually about 37.7 million Indians are affected by waterborne diseases, 1.5 million children die of diarrhea and 73 million working days are lost leading to an economic burden of $600 million a year.
