LncRNA regulating reprogramming glucose metabolism has become one of the most tempting antineoplastic targets for gene therapy

The hallmark of carcinogenesis is reprogramming glucose metabolism, and accumulating evidence shows that this process may be affected by a range of circumstances. This review emphasizes LncRNA's relevance in modulating glucose metabolism. As stated before, LncRNA works as a key regulator in a complex network encompassing metabolic enzymes, oncogenes, tumor-inhibiting medicines and metabolic signaling pathways. The crucial variable in personalizing therapy to best fit patient needs and preferences is the availability of multiple treatment alternatives with varied procedures. By introducing targeted therapeutic approaches including small molecule inhibitors, RNAi, and ASO gapmer, LncRNA has become one of the most tempting antineoplastic targets. However, the road to LncRNA-based therapy remains long and challenging due to LncRNA's complexity and lack of information. A new study on LncRNA's function in metabolism is needed to uncover new markers and treatment goals to regulate this abnormal metabolic development. Translational medicine also has to improve the delivery technique to maximize impact with less toxicity and off-target consequences
