In the process of globalization, the issues of civilizational and cultural development of mankind arise. Civilizational mutual understanding and the dialogue of cultures is an urgent need of the present day. The study of civilization in the historical-anthropological dimension contributes to the reconstruction of historical reality: to the study of the methodology of research, the consciousness of people, the nature of relations in society, the identification of the essence of civilizations. The aim of the work is to study the civilization in the historical-anthropological dimension. The task is to understand the methodological principles of the doctrines of about civilization; the consideration of civilization in the historical and anthropological aspect, that is, through the definition of psychological, spiritual, religious, ethical, mental features in the process of historical development. The historical and anthropological space unites scientific research in philosophy, social and ethnic psychology, sociology, geography, etc. The interdisciplinary ties of historical anthropology with the philosophy of history contribute to the research of cultural epochs, peoples, customs, traditions, their outlook. Appeal to historical and anthropological studies of civilization is of great importance for the development of historical knowledge, it is its development and enrichment, it expands its methodological search
