A comparative study of the species composition, species abundance of burnt and unburned areas of the artificial steppe of the Donetsk Botanical Garden was carried out 9 months after late burning. The results showed a significant difference in these characteristics between the sites. The burnt area has insignificantly higher species richness than the unburned one, but lower species uniformity. In addition, the burned territory has more expressed ruderal component in its species composition and less expressed steppe component
