ОСВІТА ЯК ЗНАРЯДДЯ СОЦІАЛЬНОЇ ЕВОЛЮЦІЇ

The article analyzes the significance of education in the functioning of modern society as well as proves the education to be the crucial factor of social transformations. It is substantiated that the calling of education consists in the formation of the individual capable of making the right social choice, which will enhance their further personal development and adequate evaluation of social challenges. It has been proven that in the world of today education functions not only as a catalyst but also as a stabilizing factor for social processes and interactions; it provides the means to restraining various crisis processes – humanitarian, social as well as technogenic, since the education itself presents the stable structure due to which the society cognizes itself, develops its heuristic and social potential, determines directions and prospects of progressive changes. The significancy of education in functioning of global society has been analysed in the articvle, as well as the role of education in forming of socially active person has been accented. The fact that polycultural information society of the XXI century, which is based on the unity of culture, communication and education, attached conditions for essential transformations in social and cultural landscape, actualised the problem of preservation such strategical priority of each state as cultural originality and national variety has been proved. It is particulary important for Ukraine, where the gap with colonial and totalitarian inheritance of Soviet past is clearly traced and refusal from ideological “soviet” mythes in people’s mass consciousness is proclaimed. Unfortunatelly, we can declared the deep crisis of modern Ukrainian education. It is caused by contradiction between classical educational system and modern professionally directed education. Nevertheless both of them are equally inquired as on the personal as on the society level. It is obviously that the outlet from this crisis can not be found in renunciation of humanitarian studing component (such tendency can be clearly seen in Ukrainian educational sphere). On the contrary, the only possible way is recognition of the great necessity of humanitarization and modernization of educational system, refusal from exceeding technicalisation and hard professional specialization
