Abstract Rice is commonly produced without the application of any fertilizer nutrient in the southwestern parts of Ethiopia. However, the previous research results indicated the high response of rice crops to the application of N fertilizer nutrients in different soil and environmental conditions in Ethiopia. Improved management practices are important to enhance the growth, development, and yield of upland rice.
