Kamendaka jejuensis Park & Jung 2022, sp. n.

Kamendaka jejuensis Park & Jung sp. n. (Figs 1A–F, 2A–C, 3A–P, 4) Diagnosis. Recognized by the forewing with fuscous and yellow markings developed irregularly; fuscous markings on forewing reaching the margins of costal, postclaval and anterior cubital area; median stripes and hind parts brownish, contrast with background distinctly; clavus broad (Figs 2A–B); aedeagus with three spinous processes and membranous part shaped oval (Figs 3H–J). This new species resembles K. indefessa Yang & Wu, 1994 in general features, but differs by the clavus with markings (Fig. 2A) and aedeagus with spinosus processes and membranous part relatively shorter and smaller (Figs 3H–J). Description. Male. COLORATION: General coloration of body whitish. Vertex concolorous, with apical margin slightly brownish, lateral carinae darker than background. Pronotum and mesonotum brown, mesonotum with irregular fuscous markings on posterior margin (Figs 1A–B, F). Frons whitish, with base and frontoclypeal suture distinctly brownish, lateral carinae darker than background; rostrum fuscous. Gena with brownish stripes reaching anteroventral margin, slightly brownish laterally; compound eyes brown (Figs 1D–E). Forewing with veins and margins darker than background, with numerous distinct markings, median area with brownish stripes, spots on posterior suture concolorous; forewing with fuscous markings reaching the margins of costal, postclaval and anterior cubital area; rest area whitish (Fig. 2B). Legs concolorous; tibiae and tarsus of forelegs and tarsus of midlegs fuscous. Abdomen fuscous (Fig. 1C). SURFACE AND VESTITURE: Forewing and body covered with thin whitish wax layer irregularly. STRUCTURE: Head. Head with compound eyes triangular, narrower than pronotum distinctly. Vertex at base concaved, longer than width at midline, apex relative pointed, narrowing after compound eyes, lateral carinae well-developed, median carina absent (Figs 1A–B, F). Frons expanded anteroventrad distinctly, protruded and rounded in lateral view, length of expanded part as long as compound eyes; width narrow, widest at basal margin, lateral margins distinctly carinate, gradually broader at basal margin, median carinae absent. Postclypeus with median carina, anteclypeus with weak median carina, lateral carinae absent. Rostrum with apical segment longer than wide. Antennae short, clavated. Eyes semicircular; ocelli absent, adjacent to eyes (Figs 1D–E). Thorax. Pronotum narrow, shorter than width distinctly; anterior margin protruded to head medially, posterior margin concave at midline. Mesonotum as long as broad, convex roundly, projected, longer than vertex, with median and lateral carina developed distinctly (Fig. 1F). Forewing with sensory pits along costal veins regularly, Sc+R branched at almost branching of ScP; M dividing twice after median part of forewing; CuA without sensory pits, dividing at almost medially; CuP straight, curved to inward at margins of forewing (Fig. 1G). Hindwing as long as forewing, broader than forewing basally, postclaval margin angulated (Fig. 2B). Abdomen. GENITALIA: Anal tube in lateral view with gonostyli and pygofer quarter-shaped, elongated, vertically ventrally curved (Fig. 3A); with two straight spines protruded at ventral margins in caudal view; anus placed in middle, paraproct reaching posterior margin (Fig. 3B). Pygofer in lateral view narrowed medially, process of ventral margin of pygofer protruded distinctly, slightly curved dorsally (Figs 3C–D). Gonostyli symmetrical, inwardly curved, forceps-shaped; outer margins more sclerotized than inner parts, inner margins bilobed at middle, blunt; basal part slender, slightly curved twice (Figs 3E–G, 4). Aedeagus asymmetrical and simple, endosome complex, arising at apex. Endosoma complex, with large, irregular sinuous lobe and three sclerotized processes: first process (fp) being longest, arising on dorsal surface of endosoma, nearly reaching apex of endosoma, sinuate, slender, and curved mesad; second process (sp) also arising on dorsal surface of endosoma, almost as long as sp and curved slightly mesad; third process (tp) arising on left lateral side of endosoma, more robust than fp and sp, and equal length to sp (Figs 3H–J). Female. STRUCTURE: Same as male in general features, body relatively larger than male. Abdomen. GENITALIA: Anal tube small, lateral margins straight, basal margin wider than upper margin, apex slightly concave; anus placed in middle, paraproct surpassing posterior margin of anal tube (Fig. 3N). Gonapophysis VIII partly flattened laterally, tapering apicad, with five, distinct teeth at posterodorsal margin; endogonocoxal process membranous, apically pointed (Fig. 3O). Gonoplac with gonapophysis IX crown-shaped, gonoplac roundly curved inwardly, narrower at apex; gonapophysis IX almost straight, apically pointed (Fig. 3P). Measurements (in mm). Male (n=1) / Female (n=1). Body length (including forewing): 6.06/6.42; body length (excluding forewing): 3.80/3.46; body width (including forewing): 2.35/2.87. Material examined. Holotype: 1♂, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do. South Korea; 20.IX.2019, J.K. Park & J.M. Bae (CNU). Paratype: 1♀, Same data as holotype (CNU). Etymology.
