Etude Des Connaissances,Attitudes Et Pratiques De La Contraception D'Urgence Chez Les Etudiantes De L'Université de Goma Unigom Et De L'Université Libre Des Pays Des Grands Lacs Ulpgl a Goma

Our reflexionfocuses on the knolwedge, attitudes and practices of emergency contraception among famale student sat the university of Goma and the university of free country of Great Lakes. We conducted a cross- sectional survery of 677 famale students recruited after cluser sampling at the two universities. On the basis of a preestablished questionary, we inter viewed the students after their participation in the survery. The data collected was analysed with the STATA 15 software and the comparison of the variables carried out with the chi-square test and a single significative test of 5 percent. After our investigation, we found that 625 ( 92,32 %) famale students rported having heard of emergency contraception and the proportion of respondents with sufficient knowledge was 80,32%. The evaluation of the attitude towards emergency contraception revealsthat 533 (85, 28%) of the respondents had a positive attitude towards EC, 416 hadalready had sexual intercourse amongwhich 294 (70, 67%) saidthey had already used the C.U . single students ( adjusted OR= 1,9) ( 1,1-3,2), those with sufficient knowledge (adjusted OR= 3,0) (1,6-5,8 ) and those with a positive attitude ( adjusted OR = 2,4) ( 1,1-4,9). The studentsknew the method and have easyaccess to it. However , the repetition of the use underlines the need for information of thesestudents on the classicmeans of contraception. This is the need to reflect on the dissatisfaction of campus outreach to reduce the risk of clandestine abortion thatiscurrently high.IJSRED - International Journal of Scientific Research and Engineering Developmen
