This paper describes a satellite-based remote sensing technique to measure the deformation of terrain, infrastructures and structures. The technique is based on SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data and the interferometric method. The work makes reference to two types of techniques: Differential Interferometric SAR (DInSAR) and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI). The work describes four examples of PSI results, which have been achieved using the software chain developed by CTTC. The first result is an example of terrain deformation due to water extraction, which concerns Mexico City (Mexico).
