Using FEM analysis software, the purpose of this research project was to examine several crankshaft shapes applicable to an internal combustion engine with six cylinders. The primary objectives of the study were to determine the maximum loading that could be placed on the piston and the crankshaft rotations that correspond to that loading, as well as to investigate the stress distribution and factor of safety for various crankshaft diameters. The model was created with the help of the software CATIA, and it was examined with the help of the software ANSYS FEM analysis.
