Forensic science in criminal investigation and trials is mainly dealt with the materials which are helpful to identify the suspect, time of the incident and the place of occurrence. Forensic Science is defined as “The application of science to those criminal and civil laws that are enforced by the police agencies in a criminal justice system”. It is considered to be one of the important characteristic of the criminal justice system. It clearly establish a link between the crime, the suspect, the victim, the weapon used, the time and the place of occurrence.
