THE EFFECT OF JIGSAW TYPE COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODELS ON IPS LEARNING OUTCOMES WITH ACHIEVING MOTIVATION COOPERATIVE STUDENTS IN CLASS V SDN.1 SEMARAPURA TENGAH

The aim of this study was to know the differentiation result of social studies learning between the cooperative learning on jigsaw strategy with the conventional strategy after controlling toward the achievement motivation variable on the fifth grade students of SDN 1 Semarapura Tengah. This research used quasi experimental by using Posttest- Only Control Group Design. The population in this research was all of the fifth grade students of SDN 1 Semarapura in academic year 2013/2014. The sample was chosen by using random sampling technique. Independent variable in this research was cooperative learning on jigsaw strategy, meanwhile dependent variable in this research was the result of social studies learning. Covariable in this research was achievement motivation. The data needed in this research was collected by using questionnaire and test. The data was analyzed by using statistic anacova. Based on the result of the analyses, it was stated that there was a difference on the result of the social studies students on cooperative learning model on jigsaw strategy with the students on conventional strategy. The result of group students on social studies by using cooperative learning on Jigsaw strategy was (mean = 33,16) higher than the group of students on conventional strategy (mean = 28,68). Based on the result, it was consistent although the controlling was done toward the achievement motivation
