ВПЛИВ ВІЗАНТІЙСЬКОЇ ЧЕРНЕЧОЇ ТРАДИЦІЇ НА РОЗВИТОК ПЕДАГОГІЧНОЇ ДУМКИ КИЇВСЬКОЇ РУСІ

The article deals with the questions of the origin and formation of the monastic pedagogy of the period of Kyivan Rus and the influence of the educational experience of Byzantine monasticism on this process. It is established that due to cultural ties with Byzantium, theOld Rus educational system received a number of qualitative borrowings and acquired complete completeness. In particular, representatives of Byzantine monasticism (St. Cyril and St. Methodius) were the founders of Slavic writing; orthodox devotees of St. Basil the Great and the Rev. Theodore Studitus describe the conceptual foundations of spiritual and moral education that were borrowed by the Kiev monks and adapted to the realities of local life; similar to the monastic tradition of Byzantium, in the Kyivan Rus monasteries became one of the main bulwarks of education and upbringing; active educational activities of the Byzantine ascetics made it possible to get acquainted with the best examples of ancient literature. It was found that according to the Byzantine monastic tradition a system of physical education was formed, which was based on thecontrol of the regime of the day, rigid discipline and constant physical exercises. The last ones, in the first place, foresaw a daily hard physical work. A significant role was also devoted to the issueof healthy eating.It has been proved that the philosophical and pedagogical ideas of the Byzantine ascetics (John Damascus, John Chrysostom, John Climacus, Maxim the Confessor, Simeon the New Theologian, etc.) had a significant influence on the development of contemporary philosophical thought of Kyivan Rus, the foundations of philosophical thinking, the foundation of assimilation and creative processing elements of Byzantine and Oriental philosophical cultures
