The advent of space photometry has brought immense opportunities to the field of asteroseismology. This superb data has led to novel methodologies to infer information about pulsating stars and has proven especially useful for the characterisation of exoplanet host stars. Recent discoveries have spiked interest in the discovery and characterisation of young planets.
