THE USE OF STOP MOTION AS A PEDAGOGICAL TOOL IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND TEACHER TRAINING

Stop motion is an animation technique that consists of creating the illusion of movement by capturing a series of still images, in which each frame represents a small advance in movement. This technique has been increasingly explored as a pedagogical tool in early childhood education, providing a playful and interactive experience for children. For that purpose, the specific objectives were addressed: Understanding and identifying the knowledge, interest and use of digital technologies in early childhood education; Evaluate how the training process and the proposed actions contributed to the legitimization of creative methodologies and the use of animation cinema to enhance teaching and learning. Didactic Sequences were prepared for teacher training. The methodology was based on bibliographical research. The interpretation of the data showed the lack of training in digital technologies and made it possible to verify how in-service training can be efficient in solving the existing gaps in teacher training in technologies. In summary, the use of stop motion as a pedagogical tool in early childhood education benefits both children and teachers. It provides a differentiated educational experience, promoting the integral development of children and expanding teaching and learning possibilities in the classroom
