அய்யா வைகுண்டரின் வழிபாட்டுச் சீர்திருத்தம் / Worship and Reformation of Ayya Vaikundar

Ayya Vaikundar wrote a book called “Akilathirattuammanai” in his native Tamil language which is understandable to the common people. He removed the idolatry practice from the darkness of ignorance and made people realize that the Lord was formless. He emphasized that it was wrong to sacrifice other lives to the Lord. Ayya revealed to the society that there was no male-female slave as an individual in a time of caste oppression and male-female slavery. The Namboodiri, Nairs and Brahmins inflicted immense atrocities on the lower castes. The wells used by the upper castes were not allowed to be used by the so-called enslaved people. In order to avert these atrocities, Ayya Vaikundar built a samadharma well in Samithoppu called Muthri Kinaru. Ayya gave alms to the starving people. Seeing that he lived with the ups and downs of lower caste-upper caste, superior-inferior, Ayya made a way to live under the umbrella of love as a race. Ayya Vaikundar's social work is still followed by the people for many years. Ayya created the custom of naming the Nadar peoples as Santror as called as untouchables by the Namboodiris and also supported to bring out the people of other eighteen castes from the parochial atrocity.
