THE EMPOWERMENT OF FEMALE FARMERS IN SUSTAINABLE FOOD GARDEN PROGRAM

The main objective of the realization of Sustainable Reserve Food Garden Program is national food stability from the smallest unit, a household, which becomes the primary reference to the concept in assuming the food stability. When a household is significantly and independently capable of fulfilling the needs of food and at the same time consuming various food, the change of those consumption patterns among Indonesian society can be the indicator of significant improvement in food stability as well as reducing import quota. This research was conducted on a group of female farmers Alabio in Babadan Village, Gunung Jati District of Cirebon from April until August 2016. The research was purposed to find out: (1) the correlation between utilization and disposition of house yard and female farmer empowerment in Babadan Village Gunung Jati District of Cirebon. (2) the correlation between the development of Seed Garden Village and female farmer’s empowerment in Babadan Village Gunung Jati District of Cirebon
