The present investigation has been conducted on “Establishment of protocol for in vitro micropropagation of rose (Rosa hybrida L.)” from nodal segment explant was undertaken to identify suitable media combinations for rose micropropagation. Nodal segment explants were excised from mother stock maintained in shade house. The explants were initiated on MS media fortified withdifferent concentration of BAP and Kinetin (0.5 mg/l BAP+ 0.5 mg/l kin, 1.0 mg/l BAP + 0.5 mg/l kin, 1.5 mg/l BAP + 0.5 mg/l Kin). The best results of explants initiation were obtained on MS media containing 1.5 mg/l BAP + 0.5 mg/l kin, after 2 weeks of culture. During multiplication stage, the MS media containing2.0 mg/l BAP +1.0 mg/l kin was used and showed good growth
