Current Trends of Choreographic Education in Ukraine

The purpose of the article is to describe the modern trends of choreographic education in Ukraine and identify promising approaches for the training of choreographers in the higher art education conditions of the third decade of the 21st century. Research methodology. The typological method, which contributed to the identification of the modern choreographic education features in Ukraine, a system analysis method that examines model trends and approaches for training choreographers, a theoretical generalization method, etc. were applied. Scientific novelty. The current state is studied, trends are identified and prospects for the development of higher choreographic education in Ukraine were outlined; a unified system for the formation and development of the foundations of future specialists’ professional mobility, as one of the most promising systems in choreographic education of Ukraine, is analyzed. It has been revealed that the provision of an international standard of education requires expansion in the educational programs ‘Folk choreography’, ‘Ballroom choreography’ and ‘Modern choreography’ of historical, cultural, philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and art studies aspects. Conclusions. Modern choreographic education in Ukraine is aimed at developing human creativity and creating a multilevel system of art education. The problem of expanding the cultural and educational space is solved through the use of various sources of culture and knowledge. The paradigm of higher choreographic education in Ukraine at the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century is focused on training a new type of professionally mobile specialists, who can easily adapt to changing conditions of society, the labour market, leisure conditions and work effectively in innovative mode. Considering professional mobility as one of the most important characteristics of a modern specialist, we position a single system of formation and development of its foundations as the most promising system in choreographic education in Ukraine. The theoretical and practical discourse of higher professional choreographic education in Ukraine is aimed at making adjustments to the process of optimizing the training of specialists in order to expand the range of qualifications while preserving the heredity algorithm of the best pedagogical developments existing at the present stage in art higher educational institutions of Ukraine
