Energy is the basic input required to sustain the economic growth and to provide basic amenities of life to the entire population of a country. Energy can be an effective weapon in the battle against abject poverty, especially in the developing countries. The main objectives of the study is to identify the factors influencing the use of solar water heaters. A sample of 200 respondents has been chosen for purpose of the study. Convenient sampling method is adopted to select the sample. The study makes use of statistical techniques such as simple percentage analysis, Chi- square test and weighted average rank method in analyzing the data for finding the result.
