The current paper considers one of the most under-researched topics in contemporary psychological and social studies. The corresponding paragraphs of the paper are addressing the positive and negative trends demonstrated by the child welfare system functioning in Norway. Specific emphasis is put on the foster care system currently functioning in Norway along with its current problems.
